about

New Americanism as a Cynicism
It seems to me - and I think it can be evident in many areas of our thought - that New Americanism is offering both a mode of thought and state of being for the mode of thought. The mode of thought is pushed forward in our ideological systems, writings, art and that state of being of the mode of the thought is self evident within the interactions of each aspect of American culture. To put forth more bluntly - New Americanism is not the thought itself, but the reaction and creation of new thoughts in revolt and in an effort to starve out the old thoughts. The state of being is one of constant cynicism towards stable ideology (beyond the founding principle which is some type of egalitarianism that I haven't fully formed yet. It can't be straightforward egalitarian - at least I'm not of the mind that all are thoughts and ideas and worldview are equal, but to turn that into a philosophical claim is a pretty fucking rash move). The cynicism is seperate day from skepticism as such - I'm not questioning the success of capitalism, I'm unwilling (quite reasonably) to believe in the thought of the success of capitalism - as it is that thought- the thought of maximizing efficiency, the thought of test scores, thought of STEM dominance, the prevailing cries of modernity, the sardonic echoes of postmodernist thought, the physics of Einstein, and the comedy of the Big Bang Theory, all of it is due to the thought - not even the full belief - of a capitalism as a successful ideology. We must eradicate the thought - thought a cultural cynicism, at least a sort of Seinfeldian metaphysics, the comedy of errors and farcical politics in the United States - get the common to look at it and ask "hey! What gives?"
